MWA COVID-19 Resource Headquarters
The full effects of the Coronavirus pandemic have yet to be felt, but many Uber and Lyft drivers are already being affected by this public health crisis.
The companies’ refusal to comply with Assembly Bill 5 and properly classify drivers as employees has left us without basic employment protections like sick leave, unemployment insurance, and employer-provided healthcare, leaving us vulnerable throughout this growing pandemic.
Now more than ever, it’s critical that we continue stick together to demand Uber and Lyft take immediate steps to protect drivers, and continue organizing to build a strong, driver-led union.
